My mother frequently jokes that I would be a professional student if someone would pay me to go to school. I usually that that the day I lose my desire to learn and grow will be the day I die. I am always looking for the next learning experience!
Here's what I've done so far. . .
Trident Technical College, North Charleston, South Carolina
I am pursuing a
Certificate in Web Design. I hope to graduate in Fall 2009 or Spring 2010.
Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, Columbia, South Carolina, 1980, Master of Arts in Religion
The two years I spent at LTSS (fondly called "Southern Seminary") were two of the best years of my life. Not only did I grow in my lifelong knowledge of Lutheran theology, but I gathered a special group of friends and colleagues (Including some GREAT professors!) that I cherish to this day.
At LTSS I "majored" in Christian Education. a course of study that has served me well throughout my career.
College of Charleston, Charleston, South Carolina, 1974, Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Education
I was fortunate enough to attend the College of Charleston just as it was beginning its phenomnal growth spurt. I was also fortunate to attend when tuition was ridciulously low (How does $250 per semester--full time--sound?!). I was a commuter, so I did not spend time getting into campus life, but I received a great education.
Winthrop College (now Winthrop University), attended 1967-1969
Yes, I attended Winthrop when it was all-female. . .and I enjoyed every minute! Although I did not finish my degree there, I got a great start!
St. Andrew's Parish High School, Diploma, 1967
I mention my high school for the sake of posterity. It no longer exists. St. Andrew's High and Middleton High both gave way to the new West Ashley High School. It was a great school. Rita Liddy, former history teacher, is the wife of former Senator Ernest "Fritz" Hollings. She was the best. St. Andrew's was a great school with tremendous school spirit. . .GO ROCKS! |
